It was reported that a woman named Annett from Uasin Gishu shared how her struggle to conceive had shaken her marriage. She explained that for years, her home was filled with tension, blame, and pressure because she could not get pregnant.
According to her, she and her husband initially ignored whispers from relatives, but after a year, her mother-in-law reportedly confronted him directly, demanding to know why she wasn’t expecting and even giving them a six-month ultimatum. She said that moment marked the beginning of ongoing tension between her and her in-laws.
Annett reportedly said that she and her husband visited multiple hospitals across Nairobi, consulting several specialists, yet they still received no clear answers. She added that as months turned into years, the pressure became unbearable, with relatives advising her husband to marry someone else “who could give him children.” She described feeling humiliated, isolated, and emotionally exhausted.
Five years into the marriage, she said, things worsened when her husband grew cold, verbally abusive, and distant. Eventually, she claimed, his family forced her out of her own home, accusing her of bringing “bad luck” to their son.
She said that at her lowest point, she called her brother in Nairobi, poured out everything, and he told her there were people who could help her regain stability, peace, and direction, giving her contacts for support services. To read more, tap here
