Daniel, a resident of Eldoret town in Kenya, says betrayal became a recurring and painful pattern in his life over many years. He explains that nearly everyone he placed his trust in eventually turned against him. Friends he supported allegedly spoke ill of him in his absence, business partners vanished with shared funds, and even individuals he regarded as family broke his trust. Initially, Daniel believed these experiences were the result of misfortune or his own poor judgment.
He says the deepest pain came from the fact that he is naturally loyal and generous. According to Daniel, he never wronged anyone or wished harm upon others. Instead, he stood by people during their hardest moments, only to be abandoned or betrayed once they achieved success.

Daniel notes that while living in Eldoret, this pattern negatively affected every aspect of his life. He says he was unable to form stable partnerships or make long-term plans. Even when well-meaning people entered his life, something would abruptly change.
He recounts that misunderstandings would emerge, falsehoods would spread, and relationships would fall apart. Over time, he began blaming himself, questioning whether he was cursed or somehow attracted betrayal. He says the turning point came when he chose to stop accepting what was clearly a repeated issue.
