Chief of Defence Forces Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has warned against anyone who attacks Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) supporters or interferes with the group’s flags and emblems.In a statement posted on his official social media account, Gen Muhoozi said anyone found targeting PLU supporters or tampering with their symbols would be arrested without delay.
“You touch PLU, I will touch you too and you will not like it,” Gen Muhoozi warned.The statement comes amid increased political activities and public attention around PLU, a political pressure group associated with Gen Muhoozi.
He said PLU supporters should be allowed to participate in public and political activities without interference, warning that those who target them or their symbols would face consequences.Gen Muhoozi’s remarks have sparked discussions among members of the public as political groups continue to increase mobilisation and engagement across the country.
