Love can feel out of reach when the person you desire keeps rejecting you without hesitation. This was the difficult experience of David Kato, a young man from Kampala, who spent more than a year pursuing a woman he deeply admired, only to face constant rejection.
The woman, who is the daughter of a prominent Member of Parliament, reportedly dismissed his advances several times, describing him as a “village boy” and saying he did not meet her standards.
