Former Goodlyfe Crew manager, Chagga Geoffrey, has reportedly relocated to the United Kingdom, seeking a fresh start after facing a challenging period in his career. The news was revealed by media personality Kasuku during the popular Talk and Talk show on Saturday.
Chagga’s move comes in the wake of professional disappointments, including the cancellation of his highly anticipated concert at Kati Kati on November 1, 2025. Reports suggested that the event failed due to a lack of support and no-show from collaborating artists, leaving many fans frustrated.
Once at the peak of Uganda’s music scene, managing some of the country’s biggest stars, Chagga has in recent years struggled to maintain his earlier momentum. These challenges appear to have influenced his decision to look for opportunities outside Uganda.
Kasuku revealed that Chagga has already settled in the UK, aiming to rebuild his life and career. Moving abroad, however, comes with its own set of challenges, from adapting to a new environment to finding ways to make a living in an unfamiliar job market.
Chagga now joins a growing number of Ugandan artists and managers relocating overseas. Singer Grenade Official also moved to the UK at the end of last year, pursuing better prospects and showing that international opportunities are increasingly attractive to local talent.
During the show, Kasuku and co-host Jenkins Mukasa questioned how Chagga will cope with life abroad, especially the physically demanding “kyeyo” jobs that many Ugandans take on when starting fresh in a new country. The hosts raised concerns about how this lifestyle adjustment might impact his career ambitions.
Despite the uncertainties, Chagga’s fans are hopeful that his move will mark the beginning of a new, successful chapter. Many admire his courage to leave behind familiar territory and attempt to reinvent himself after setbacks in Uganda’s music industry.
As Chagga starts this new journey, all eyes will be on how he adapts to life in the UK, whether he can leverage his experience and connections, and if this move will reignite his career and influence in the music world.
