St. Mary’s College Mayenze has introduced a new bursary program to support outstanding students, especially those facing financial difficulties, in Uganda. The initiative offers a 50% tuition fee reduction for students who demonstrate academic excellence or sporting talent.
Eligible students must achieve an aggregate score between 4 and 14 in the Primary Leaving Examination (PLE), enabling top performers to continue their education with reduced financial pressure.
The school is also providing an early payment incentive: parents who settle fees within the first two weeks of the term will receive a 2% discount, promoting timely payments and easier financial planning.
During the 2026 academic year, students will have the chance to join educational trips to historical sites, major landmarks, and the Parliament of Uganda, offering valuable insights into the nation’s history, governance, and development.
To reward academic excellence, students who earn seven or more distinctions will receive a cash prize of UGX 50,000 or partial fee waivers.
The school also offers special support for vulnerable students:
Students who have lost their fathers are eligible for a 50% fee reduction.
Students who have lost their mothers can receive a 25% fee reduction.
Beyond academics, the school emphasizes spiritual and moral growth. Students participate in daily prayers, Scripture Union activities, and Mass, fostering discipline, faith, and strong character.
Boarding students benefit from nutritious meals and carefully planned weekly menus to support their health as they focus on their studies.
By combining excellent academics, hands-on learning experiences, and a supportive environment, St. Mary’s College Mayenze aims to nurture confident, responsible, and well-rounded future leaders.
