Veteran journalist and former Kawempe South legislator Hajj Kazibwe Bashir Mbazira has reflected on his media journey, revealing that he once walked away from Pearl FM because he felt he had achieved enough.
Mbazira said he believed he had reached the highest point of his career and chose to resign rather than stay until his popularity declined.
He, however, later realised that he had made the decision without properly planning for the future.
After leaving radio, he received several offers and eventually joined Bukedde FM, where he discovered new abilities and opportunities he had not explored before.
The seasoned broadcaster said his time at Bukedde FM transformed his career, especially by exposing him to investigative journalism.
Mbazira revealed that the experience made him understand that he still had much more to contribute in the media industry despite his earlier belief that he had done everything at Pearl FM.
