President Yoweri Museveni has thanked Ugandans for the millions of birthday messages and prayers he received, saying the goodwill has given him encouragement to continue serving the country.
Museveni said he was pleased by what he described as 8 million birthday wishes, adding that the blessings would give him strength for another 18 years.
“I am pleased with the 8 million birthday wishes that you sent me. Those well-wishes and God’s blessings will push me for another 18 years when I will be clocking 100 years old, and mama to reach 96 years,” Museveni said.
He appreciated Ugandans, government officials, political supporters and other well-wishers who joined his birthday celebrations and sent messages of goodwill.
Museveni said the prayers and blessings would continue to encourage him as he carries out his responsibilities and works on issues affecting Ugandans.
